Monophyllus redmani having pollinated P. penduliflora | Passiflora penduliflora bat's eye view         These flowers hang upside down on the end of long peduncles, so the anthers are symmetrical. On other bat pollinated flowers, which stick out from the plant rather than hang, the anthers are all over to one side to dust the bat more effectively with pollen. The small corona with yellow tips tightly clasps the androgynophore using surface tension to help retain the copious nectar until a visitor arrives.  Many thanks to L.E.
