P. bahamensis was first found on August 1st 1904 in the Bahamas by Britton & Brace of The New York Botanical Gardens. The adult plant has many Foetida characteristics, but Killip decided that there were enough differences to name it as a separate species. This is a very rare plant & I will plant these seed next Spring.
