Fully ripened fruit from James Purkis's plant in early May 2005. A similar fig-like smell to Passiflora cinnabarina fruit, but a bit more intense. Whereas the P. cinnabarina fruit was just bland this is pretty grim, a hint of grape but a pretty overwhelming astringent aftertaste.
