Passiflora wilsonii, pictured here in flower at Kew Gardens, is a quite rare Asian Passiflora. Found in evergreen forests and lower montane oak forests at 1,200–1,500 m alt. Maurizio Vecchia notes that it was named in honour of William Wilson (1799–1871) He was a pioneering British bryologist renowned for his systematic study of mosses, particularly those native to Great Britain and Ireland.
